How We Vet
There is a lot of money in telling people their bodies are full of plastic. We would rather sell you a few things that hold up than thirty that do not.
Everything here has to clear four tests
1. Independent testing we can actually see
Not the words lab tested printed on a label. A named laboratory, an accreditation, and a report we can read.
2. Materials we can verify
Including the parts you do not see. Bottle liners, gaskets, cap interiors, mailer windows. These are where plastic hides.
3. Packaging that matches the pitch
A plastic-free product shipped inside a plastic-lined box is not plastic-free.
4. Claims the manufacturer can back
If they cannot show us the study, we do not repeat the claim. Not in a product description, not in an email, not in an ad.
When something clears three of four, we still list it, and we tell you which one it missed right on the product page.
And what we will not say
Microplastics are being found in human tissue, and the amounts appear to be rising. That much is established.
What is not established is that any supplement, filter, or product reduces what is already in you. The researchers who published the brain tissue findings said plainly that their data is associative and does not establish a causal role in health outcomes. We take them at their word.
So we sell exposure reduction, which is real and measurable. Less plastic touching your food, your water, and your clothes. We do not sell removal. If someone does, ask them for the human trial.
Where we would start
If you asked us to rank the changes worth making, supplements would not be first. Water and food storage would. We say that even though the supplements are the higher margin thing on this site, because a ranking you cannot trust is not worth publishing.
